Prickly Heat

Ladies I wanted to advise you of a few tricks to help Prickly Heat ....
As a sufferer myself I know how uncomfortable it is, how it can ruin your holiday and leave you hiding in the shade.
I always start taking an antihistamine at least 2 weeks before I go away. I usually take something like Zirtek.
Although I dont like sunbeds ..... I will try and have 4 or 5 sunbeds too, I am not sure why but it seems to help ?
Then lastly when you are abroad I tend to stay out of the sun for the first 2-3 days? This allows your skin to adjust to the sun and heat.
If you cant do this then at least for the first day try and sit in the shade, trust me it will really help ! If you are unfortunate to still get it after all these tips....try and keep cool, use the swimming pool and cold drinks to cool yourself down. Also a cold shower is very good to bring your body temprature down. Wear loose clothing, apparently Hydrocortisone cream is very good too. Hope this helps ? Love Lady K x

Bought this Maybelline Mascara a few weeks ago and have to say I was impressed ! For once...I found a mascara that I like !! It lengthens and seperates ...makes my lashes look super long ! Doesnt clump or smudge ?! The wand was really cool too made application easy. If you use an eye lash curler even better your lashes will look much longer....love this mascara !! Also invest in a good protector spray (Unless patent, you will need a specific spray for patent shoes) your shoes will look brand new if you look after them well, things I would definately recommened are a crepe brush and a suede block when buying suede footwear, shoe/boot shapers are very good to keep the shape of your shoes and also freshen as many have a built in freshner and a good protector spray for all leather footwear Love Lady K x

When was the last time......

....you were measured properly ? more than 6 months ago ? Ask yourself these questions....
1. Does your bust spill out of your cups, creating the ‘four boob’ look?
2. Does the fabric in your cups pucker at the side near your underarm or sit away from your chest near your straps?
3. Does your bra seem to ride up your back and allow for movement?
4. Does the centre of your bra stand away from your chest?
5. Do you find the underwire digs into your side, usually at the underarm?
6. Do you find your straps leave uncomfortable red marks and dig into your shoulder?
If you answer 'yes' to any of these then you need to go and get fitted properly Ladies, Its really important to try each and every bra on before you buy ! Never just assume its the correct size as different styles and different brands fit differently. Go and get measured !! It is recommended that you get measured every 6 months at least, especially if you have gained weight or lost weight recently.Wearing the correct bra size will not only make a difference to your posture and the way your clothes sit, it's important for your health too !! So take my advice and go and get measured asap Love Lady K x

If you've never tried velcro rollers ? ....Then I suggest you do Ladies as I can not belive the difference they make !! I picked up some in my local Asda a few weeks ago and as they were only £1.50 I thought I'd give them ago ? so I put a few packets in my basket .... Wow !! I couldnt believe the difference !?  They have 2 different sizes for you to choose from I went for the larger ones which are blue in colour as my hair is quite long.....Give 'em a go Ladies and give your hair some Va Va Voom Love Lady K x

Ok, so... I am often asked what is the secret to keeping nails looking good ? ...Looking healthy, nourished and like you spend every week getting them manicured...my answer.... Cuticle Oil !!  If you start using cuticle oil regularly, as often as possible, then the results will speak for themselves! Vaseline has a similar effect but it's not as concentrated as an oil would be, so I recommend you buy an actual Cuticle Oil. I have used Boots own Brand and its very good value for money and it lasts and lasts ! Another good oil I have used is Nails Inc and this one comes in a handy little pen so it is easy to keep in your cosmetic bag oh and it smells gorgeous !! Top Tip !! Dont forget your feet Ladies ! Cuticles on your toes need looking after too !!  Now Mr Sunshine is with us I'm sure your tootsies need a little TLC before you slip your sandals on ! ...and dont forget Body Shop's Peppermint Foot Lotion which I've mentioned previously,Love Lady K x

I visited a friend last week and as we chatted over a brew,she and her mum told me they both use a tip that I told them about and it was the best tip ever :) sooo I thought I should give it to you ladies so you can use it too !
Fairy liquid !! It has so many uses other than washing the dishes .... one is, clean the shower and more importantly the shower door ! Its so hard to find a product that cleans that dreaded shower door. Just lather up and rinse off simple !! trust me Ladies you wont be spending money on silly 'shower' cleaners again.... Grab the Fairy !!
The other I use it for is whenever I spill grease on my clothes, you know when you are eating and some food spills onto you ? As soon as you can put a large drop of Fairy onto the stain, and lather up. Pop in washing machine and voila ! What grease mark ??!! Wrinkle Free !!!!!!!

Chanel Eye cream

Those of you who know me personally, know that I am a big, big fan of Chanel :) and I am always told that I do not look my age :) :)  hehee so if there is one product that I believe has helped keep my wrinkles at bay it is the Chanel age delay range ! Ok, ok ...I know Chanel isn't cheap but its the one thing I know I want to invest in...the one thing I cant do without !! If you like me dont want those wrinkles to ever appear then I recommend investing in an eye cream NOW !!!! Ive used an anti ageing eye cream since my early twenties and I dont have any wrinkles (I am 35 in a few weeks)
Kenny's Top Tips to fight against ageing and wrinkles
1. Drink lots of water every day !! Carry a small bottle with you and top up throughout the day.
2. Moisturise morning and night, and be very gentle around your eye area. Moisturise your neck and hands also.
3. Be very gentle when removing eye make up. do not pull or drag your skin.
4. I have a little exercise that also helps your skin around your eyes taught...use both index fingers and place along both eyebrows...gently push upwards with each finger and slowly close your eyes, hold for 5 seconds. Also very, very gently tapping around your eye area with your fingers stimulates blood and circulation helping to keep skin healthy.

If you want perfectly smooth, soft feet ready for summer get yourself toThe Body Shop and buy yourself Peppermint Cooling Foot Lotion ! This is a miracle product that I can't live without !!! All you need to do is massage into feet and ankles every night (or if you're bit forgetful every few days will do) before you go to bed and see the results for yourself ! Trust me Ladies your feet will be beautiful in no time at all. My top tip is, if you can ...apply lots before bedtime and wear a pair of old socks to bed, the heat will help the lotion absorb into your feet through the night. Love Lady K x

Essential Vitamin B

Ok ...so there are lots of vitamin capsules out there to choose from and with so many on the shelves its hard to know which one will 'really' benifit you and your body...so my advice is to research what you really want from a multi vitamin and also what you feel you are lacking in your diet etc For me the only vitamin I regulary take and have done for over ten maybe fifteen years is Seven Seas Vitamin B Complex......which is a combination of all the B vitamins which work together to help maintain healthy nervous and digestive systems as well as healthy hair and skin. It is particularly useful for people with busy and demanding lifestyles and women planning a pregnancy for maintaining adequate levels of these necessary nutrients which our bodies cannot store. My nails,skin and hair show visable difference when I take it. I would however recommend that you dont take it over long continuous periods of time, I sometimes take it for a few months then have a break from it for the same amount of time. Love Lady K x

Miracle Mini :)

Vaseline !!!!! Maybe you already know how amazing the little tin of V is ? .... but just incase.. I thought I would share some of my top tips with my Ladies ....
First... ever wake up in the morning with dry eyes ? Use a tiny amount and dab around each eye ....dont double dab tho :)
This also moisturises and acts as a anti age cream
Also very good as a gloss for your eyes if you want that dewy natural look...but carefull again you only need a tiny amount !
Next I use mine for my hands especially around my nails its amazing to stop your hands drying out and helps your cuticles too !
Another one is before applying lipstick, helps put moisture back into your lips and adds subtle shine too. If you have very dry lips....try adding a liberal amount to your lips then use an old toothbrush to gently exfoliate all over your lips...then wipe off and apply fresh slick of Vaseline to your new soft lips.
You can also use as a serum....although less is more so be carefull not to use to much ...grease city is not a good look, check out my bargain serum Ive shown in previous blog for an alternative.
Ever had a spot or pimple that is very dry and covering with make up is only drawing attantion to it ? Well before you go to bed add a tiny amount of V to the area and see what happens the next day ! Its important to moisturise any spot or pimple to aid in the repair of your skin. Lastly if you love having a beautiful sheen on your legs then after moisturising use sparingly on legs...wowsas Ladies :) love Lady K x

Vitamin E Cleansing Wipes

 Ladies if you hate spending a fortune on expensive face wipes then look no further ... I have found the perfect solution !!!
Tesco have a fab range called Vitamin E Cleansing Wipes which are nothing short of amazing ! First as they are very gentle and even the most sensitive of skins can use them...second they are under 50p !!!!!! Yes you did read that correctly under 50p !!!!! The only way you will see how fab they are is to pop them into your trolley next time your in Tesco.....but be warned they sell out v quickly so you might want to stock up !! Love Lady K x

Valentine treat

Strawberry Glory

Lovely Ladies here is a gorg dessert that is the ultimate treat for you on V Day
Ingredients - (2 servings)
Small punnet strawbs
1 carton Ambrosia Custard (the small plastic container)
1 carton double cream (again small one)
2-3 large meringues
1 flake
Vanilla Ice cream
Balsamic vinegar
Castor sugar

Ok so.....cut strawberries into quarters and remove leaves..keep 2 or 3 back for decoration, put into frying pan with 3 or 4 large tablespoons of balsamic vinegar and same quantity of castor sugar. Leave on low heat for approx 5 to 10 minutes until strawbs have started to soften and there is a sweet sauce forming. Leave to cool. Whip double cream until thick, add custard and continue to whip, place in fridge until ready to serve. Crumble meringues into small pieces. Have pretty glasses ready .....then start to layer all ingredients, first some strawbs ( no syrup yet though just use the soften strawbs ) then a sprinkle layer of meringue, then cream and custard mix then start again with the softened stawbs, meringue then cream. Leave some room at top of glass for a scoop of vanilla ice cream, then use the strawbs left over for decoration, drizzle the strawb syrup over ice cream, sprinkle with the flake and voila serve immediately  mmmm strawberry glory !!
